Growing up the son of a talented and inspiring carpenter and woodworker it was only fitting that when my 3-D professor assigned a functional sculpture I would choose to create a piece of furniture, a pendant lamp to be exact, of which ironically consisted of metal and glass - not wood. But it was that experience coupled with the pivotal experiences my dad provided for me growing up that would inspire my love for designing and building functional works of art. And it was that same professor that would enlighten me to the magnificence of the Fibonacci Series and the Golden Ratio, hence, Ratio 5:8, the ultimate in design harmony. Bring these three elements together and you've hit a trifecta equivalent to George Costanza's pastrami sandwiches, television, and, well, you'll have to catch the rerun.
